Terms of service

Purpose

ScanMyVid is an online service published by Mustafa Aksu, sole proprietor (SIRET 940 082 753 00010, French business registration number), which analyzes videos to flag clips that may contain personal or sensitive data. The service indicates where these clips are; it does not modify the video.

Account

Access to the service requires an account with a verified email address. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password. Only one free (preview) account is allowed per person.

Free preview and subscriptions

The free preview analyzes the first 3 minutes of a single video. Detailed results are reserved for subscribers.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly, depending on the plan chosen, and include a number of minutes of video analyzed per month. The minute counter resets on the 1st of each month (midnight UTC), whatever your subscription date, including for a yearly subscription. The month you subscribe gives you the full quota. Unused minutes do not roll over.

Extra minutes can be purchased in packs while a subscription is active. They do not expire and are used once the monthly quota runs out. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI).

If an analysis fails, its minutes are given back. When the failure happens after detection has run, they are given back at most 3 times a month; beyond that, they stay counted.

The subscription has no commitment: it can be canceled at any time and stays active until the end of the paid period. A full refund of a payment ends the subscription immediately.

Right of withdrawal

For an online purchase, you normally have 14 days to withdraw (article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code). ScanMyVid is provided as soon as you pay: by ticking the box shown at checkout, you expressly ask for the service to start right away and you waive your right of withdrawal for the part of the service you use during that period.

If you withdraw within 14 days, by writing to bonjour@florym.com, you are refunded the amount paid, minus the part of the service already provided (minutes analyzed), in accordance with article L221-25. Once the service has been fully provided, withdrawal is no longer possible (article L221-28, 1°).

Acceptable use

You may only upload videos you have the right to use. It is forbidden to use the service to collect personal data about third parties, or for any illegal purpose.

Liability

ScanMyVid is a review assistance tool. No detection system is infallible: you remain responsible for the content you publish and for the final check of your videos.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any action. Consumers may use a consumer mediator free of charge.

Language

This English version is provided for convenience. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
