Spelling mistakes

One typo in a title, and you re-export the whole video.

A title typed too fast, a burned-in caption with the wrong verb form, a slide skimmed once: viewers see the mistake in the first second, and text burned into the image can't be fixed once the video is live.

Where it appears most often

  • Titles and title cards added in the edit
  • Captions burned into the image
  • Slides and recorded presentations
  • Lower thirds, names and labels on screen
  • End screens and calls to action

How ScanMyVid spots it

  • Text shown on screen is proofread in its own language, for spelling and grammar.
  • Each alert gives the wrong fragment and its correction ("Recieve → Receive"), at the exact timecode.
  • Proper nouns, brand names, code and web addresses are not flagged.
  • Included in the Pro and Studio plans. Only on-screen text is proofread, not what is said out loud.

Why it's risky

Fixing it after publishing means re-editing, re-exporting and re-uploading: you lose the views, comments and search ranking of the first version. And viewers notice the typo before the content.

The tip before filming

Run the analysis on your working export, before the final render: a typo caught there takes ten seconds to fix in the edit.

Publish with peace of mind.
